The point of this ranking is flexibility. You can leave next month, keep your number, and dodge 12-month promo traps like Tesco Elevate €15 then €30.
Top rolling unlimited plans
The best no-contract plans are the simplest ones. 48, Clear, and GoMo all give unlimited 5G at €12.99 on monthly rolling terms. They are first because they keep both price and commitment low.
Clear adds a first-month-free promo with a €12.99 activation fee, which cancel each other out, so its year one is €155.88, the same as 48. GoMo charges the same €12.99 fee up front with no free month, so its year one is €168.87. 48 is the only one of the three with no fee at all. 48 also offers a separate student path at €10.99 for 100 GB if you have a college email and can live with 4G.
Rolling plans with intro traps
Eir Connect is technically rolling, but its pricing is intro-heavy: €14.99 for 12 months then €29.99. That is not no-contract value for long stays.
Some Lycamobile plans are 28-day rolling and cheap, but "unlimited" products can reduce to 256 kbps after 100 GB. Always check allowance notes before assuming parity with full-speed unlimited offers.
No-contract prepay alternatives
Prepay can still be the better no-contract format for certain users. An Post gives easy in-person top-up in every post office, though it is 4G only. Tesco and Lycamobile both have useful 28-day products with different strengths.
If your main priority is low ongoing cost for unlimited data, the €12.99 rolling SIM-only tier still wins over most prepay unlimited options.
